Dear Rotarians,

As we step into the month of August, we are reminded of its significance in Rotary as the month of Membership and New Club Development. This is a time for us to reflect on the importance of attracting new members, engaging them in meaningful service, and expanding our Rotary family.

Membership is the lifeblood of our organization. By welcoming new members, we infuse fresh ideas, perspectives, and talents into our clubs, strengthening our ability to make a positive impacting our communities. August provides us with a dedicated opportunity to focus on growing our membership and building new clubs to extend Rotary’s reach.

During this special month, let us recommit ourselves to the principles of Rotary and actively seek out individuals who share our passion for service. Engage in conversations with colleagues, friends, and family members about the incredible work we do as Rotarians and the difference we make in the world. Invite them to join us in our mission of promoting peace, supporting education, and tackling global challenges.

Additionally, August is an ideal time to explore new avenues for club development. Consider conducting community needs assessments to identify areas where new clubs can address specific needs or fill gaps in service. Collaborate with local businesses, educational institutions, and civic organizations to establish partnerships that can facilitate the formation of new clubs. By actively pursuing new club development, we can extend the reach of Rotary’s impact and ensure that more communities benefit from our collective efforts.

As Rotary District Governor, it is my sincere hope that each club within our district embraces the spirit of Membership and New Club Development Month. Let us seize this opportunity to foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and innovation within our Rotary family.
