On February 6th, Rotary International District 2452 Medical & Wellness Group (MWG) organized an impactful event, “Building Hope Within: Mental Health in the Arab Region,” in collaboration with Geitaoui Lebanese Hospital. Under the esteemed patronage of Rotary International President, Dr. Gordon McInally, the conference drew significant attention and participation. With over 280 attendees, including 160 Rotarians, the event fostered interactive discussions and featured distinguished speakers.
The conference highlighted Rotary International’s global dedication to mental well-being, aligning with its presidential initiative. Both the Rotary International President and District 2452 Governor, Bashar Haddad, delivered keynote addresses, utilizing virtual platforms to engage with the audience effectively.
One of the memorable moments of the conference was a touching performance by the Lebanese School for the Blind and Deaf choir. Their participation underscored the importance of inclusivity in mental health awareness and support, resonating deeply with the attendees.
